Yellow Grass Frog

Yellow Grass Frog - The grass frog is a semi-aquatic amphibian that lives in large parts of Europe. It is the most common frog in the malted woodland, where it is found throughout most of the forest. The grass frog is protected like all other amphibians of the forest. Both sexes grow to 5-10 cm long, the body is robust, and seen from above almost pear-shaped. The grass frog can be confused with the Spiked Toad. The only definite characteristic is that the tarsal tubercle of the spiked frog is higher and more compressed than that of the snouted frog.
