This is from a photo of me at a checkpoint just outside of Fallujah, Iraq. The female Marines were tasked to search the women and children for weapons and/or explosives as they entered into Fallujah. The reactions of these women varied from glad that were were there to very upset over the loss of family from the war. The emotional reactions were sometimes numb and empty, not really knowing what to do. Original 36"x60".
