To most First Dreamers, this was the natural state of things - their destiny marked them superior to those they defeated, and thus they ruled over them as they saw fit. Lerther and others around him abhorred this attitude. Why should mere prowess in battle decide who should have rights? Though they were First Dreamers themselves, they spent their time voicing concerns over the treatment of the conquered peoples."
