The Apostle of Artifax: "The Lord of Longing is the last deity from the old pantheon of the First Dreamers who was lost to time and self-deification. Most common people never heard its name, but prodigies in the Subtle Art are sent to its temples to master their gifts there. In each of these temples, there is an Ascended called the Apostle who serves as the master and teacher. They all appear to be the same being, incarnated into many different forms. Some claim that Ascended who are truly, deeply devoted to the Lord attain this pinnacle of existence and are subsumed into the Apostle, becoming essentially one."
