The Ninety-First of the Watchers: "It is no secret that the Watchers come in threes. At the top, there stands the dreaded Reaper of the Court, controlling the three highest joints directly - the First, the Second, and the Third. Each of those, in turn, commands three lesser Watchers - the Fourth, the Fifth, and the Sixth for the First, the Seventh, the Eight, and the Ninth for the Second, the Tenth, the Eleventh, and the Twelfth for the Third. Thus they are called the Branched Legion, for the way of command is like the way a tree spreads its crown."
