The Gate of Nah'ir: "After Zeri of the Far Voyage first figured out how to penetrate the walls between the realms and the Dominion started the conquest of Nah'ir, a strange presence manifested at the point of the initial breach. It forced itself into the bore and seemed to stabilize it - or perhaps feed from it. Armies marched through the alien being without care, and after it initially appeared, it remained perfectly stable. Much later, it was discovered that similar Globules almost always appear in planar tears, though it shed no greater light on their purpose."
