The Fifty-Ninth of the Watchers: "During the middle phase of the great wars, the fortress of Dabat was locked in a struggle with the Watchers. After many turns of the calendar, a Watcher arrived at its gates. It looked tamer and smaller than its brethren and it spoke through mind-words of a peace offer from its masters. Seeing a spark of hope, the defenders opened the great ramparts to hear the Watcher's message. Half a sol later, no living thing was left within the bastion's walls."
