Ruby Hero - October - 2025 - Ruby Hero – Self-Harm | Sitting at the edge, body still yet mind ablaze, Ruby Hero has remained there for half an hour. From a monk no one else could’ve differentiated him, yet Diamond Hero has been at that same edge before. He knows the scent of an empty glaze by its deafening silence, and he knows that doubts disguised as solutions are dangerously seductive. There is no time to lose, so he uninvitedly joins Ruby’s presence, contemplating the horizon in silence, fully relaxed outside. Not much time passes until Ruby lets out the first sigh. Then the second. A few minutes later, he is crying. No words are spoken, yet so much has been shared between them. They know what each other is doing, feel the contrasting intentions; at first, they might even have been enemies, as they prepared to defend their own decisions. But the opportunity to argue their free will never came, so neither did the fight. Instead of arguing over it, they simply exerted it fully, side by side. And as gradually as the Sun sank, so did Ruby’s turmoil.
