Fell into a Monster Well

Habelkef didn’t mean to cross the roly polies, trip over his slurpy tubes and fall into a monstrous plant vacuum. But here he is now, at the bottom of the well, the ridged tissue of the vacuum ascending far above, slick and unscalable in this temperature. Bathing in the plant’s sour digestive broth, he can feel it break down his energy pools. At some point he should probably escape. But it’s proving tricky to motivate when the quest he faces outside is… less savory. Even now, Habelkef can hear Küp storming the Forest, smashing and shouting Habel’s signature. Punishment is certain— Küp will probably make Habel bushwhack. With the Forest in its defensive state post-Grounding, Habel will be on the front lines. He’ll have to shoulder through a battlefield of unknowable monster plants to find Kanko and Chak; maybe it’s easier to sit in one he knows.
