Lumbering oaf. Küp will find a way to punish Chak. Digestion maybe… no that’s too easy. Perhaps a seed in the mind, that will lie dormant for cycles and slowly sprout into self-loathing, until Chak is consumed with guilt. Meh. She needs faster gratification. Chak could have destroyed anything else and Küp wouldn’t have complained. But this? Küp has been building the river communication system for over a cycle now. She had to connect the plants in a web of logic that aligned their interests with those of the Mythtuf. If the Mythtuf want to build up the river’s organic structures, carving out tunnels and diverting currents for traffic, they need to make the changes work for the ecosystem too. They also need to not destroy what they build. Maybe Chak deserves a simpler punishment: trial by fire.
