Tuning Tree

Küp’s favorite device of mischief. She inserts the tree in muscle roots along her back, and by flexing, resonates its branches. Each branch vibrates and produces an oscillating force that can increase the energy of objects sharing the resonance frequency— even organisms. Küp initially equipped the tuning tree to hunt a predator in the Mythtuf gardens. When she found her useless kin instead, she decided she would enjoy making Chak sweat. Stood on end, the tree is as dangerous as a charged pool displacer. The damage it inflicts is unpredictable and uneven (a mess to clean up). Chak’s undivided and obsequious attention gives Küp a modicum of satisfaction. She will save this memory as a keepsake when she must later repair his damage and regret not inflicting further harm. When was the last time she took this piece out anyway? Ah, the best part of the job is the toys.
