Jump the Leaf

The art of leaf jumps was relying on something that couldn’t support you. Not forever, at least. The leaf was just strong enough, if reinforced with energy, to hold a Mythtuf’s mass for an instant. In this time, the Mythtuf had to transfer its weight away. Commander Gywtug was aware of the challenge. She herself could not leap off every leaf. But despite the concentration and maneuvering the exercise required, the point was not to perfect an impressive stunt. The point was to understand how to move energy through the body in sync the shift of weight. Blood certainly pumped fast enough to do the trick, if only the Mythtuf would listen to their own. But most of her troops were woefully inept at energy transfers, and without this basic training, would flounder on the global arena. Gywtug side-stepped as one slammed to the ground. Best they failed in front of each other.
