When Chak asked his plant network for help, he did not expect they would open a rift so soon. Before he could react, Kanko slipped down it. Chak has only one move now, and it is risky: grand his arms full autonomy. When linked to his body, his arms act in sync, even if not always in agreement. Now they’re free. Unaware of the danger, they might act brashly and expose him. Chak had hoped they would remember their instructions. He did not think they would interpret those instructions. Earlier, he had increased his arm tissue to better surf the Heaving Hills; to his surprise, his arms decided to use this to their advantage. They were supposed to fly over and lift Kanko to high ground. Instead, they want to show off. Drawing on his energy pools, Chak’s arms are preparing to save Kanko. They just might crack the earth first. So, best to get back.
